Question 1

What is AVIVO Wines?

Accepted Answer

AVIVO Wines is a California wine brand founded on the belief that wine should taste amazing, be better for you, and help heal the planet. AVIVO produces Red, White, and Rosé wines from Mediterranean grape varieties grown in Lodi's Ledbetter Family Vineyards using certified organic, Biodynamic, and regenerative farming practices.

Question 2

What makes AVIVO different from other organic wines?

Accepted Answer

AVIVO combines three principles: climate-appropriate Mediterranean varietals (Sangiovese and Vermentino, which naturally need fewer inputs), certified regenerative and Biodynamic farming (which rebuilds the land), and a minimal-intervention winemaking philosophy with full ingredient transparency. The result is wine that is better tasting, better for you, and better for the planet — with zero sugar, zero carbs, and no additives other than a very small amount of SO₂ to preserve freshness.

Question 3

Are AVIVO wines organic?

Accepted Answer

Yes. AVIVO wines are made with 100% certified organic grapes, certified by CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers). The vineyards are farmed without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or chemicals, and are also certified Glyphosate Free.

Question 4

What certifications does AVIVO have?

Accepted Answer

AVIVO wines and vineyards hold multiple certifications: Certified Regenerative (AGW), Certified Organic (CCOF), Certified Sustainable (Lodi Rules), Glyphosate Free, and Certified Vegan. These certifications verify that AVIVO's farming and winemaking meet rigorous environmental and health standards.

Question 5

Do AVIVO wines have added sugar or carbs?

Accepted Answer

No. AVIVO wines contain zero sugar and zero carbs. The natural fermentation process converts all residual sugars, resulting in completely dry wines with no added sugar.

Question 6

What additives are in AVIVO wines?

Accepted Answer

AVIVO wines contain no additives other than a small amount of sulfur dioxide (SO₂) added at bottling to preserve freshness. There are no added sugars, colors, flavor enhancers, or other common wine additives.

Question 7

Are AVIVO wines vegan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. AVIVO wines are Certified Vegan, meaning no animal-derived fining agents are used at any stage of the winemaking process.

Question 8

What grape varieties does AVIVO use?

Accepted Answer

AVIVO focuses on Mediterranean varietals naturally suited to California's climate. The AVIVO Red and Rosé are made with Sangiovese, and the AVIVO White is made with Vermentino. These varieties require less intervention in the vineyard and produce naturally balanced fruit.

Question 9

Where are AVIVO grapes grown?

Accepted Answer

AVIVO grapes are grown in the Ledbetter Family Vineyards in Lodi, California, operated by third-generation winegrower Craig Ledbetter. The vineyards are certified Biodynamic and Regenerative Organic, with a focus on soil health, biodiversity, and carbon sequestration.
