AVIVO was founded on a simple but powerful idea.

Wine should taste amazing, be better for you, and help heal the planet. That’s the standard we live and farm by.

“When you work with nature instead of against it, everything gets better—from the health of the soils and vines, to the flavors in your glass.”

— Ridgely Evers, AVIVO Co-Founder

AVIVO was founded by a team with over 20 years of harvest experience and a breakthrough realization: that delicious wine comes from climate-proven Mediterranean varietals, farmed regeneratively, and made naturally – with the happy coincidence that it’s also better for the planet.

Meet The Team

Ridgely Evers turned a Healdsburg farm into a force for good—first reviving California’s olive oil industry, then crafting outstanding wines from Italian grapes. Inspired by the power of regenerative farming to heal the earth, he founded AVIVO to transform California viticulture and fight climate change—one delicious bottle at a time.

Winemaker – Daniel Fitzgerald

Daniel Fitzgerald crafts wines that truly reflect their origin, balancing site, season, and heritage. After trading architecture studies for a life in the vineyard, he honed his skills with renowned wineries around the world before bringing his passion for clean, expressive winemaking to AVIVO.

Deeply committed to sustainability, Craig has spent his career nurturing vineyards that prioritize soil health, biodiversity, and climate resilience—helping ensure every AVIVO wine begins with the best possible fruit.

Wine is more than a beverage - it’s a way of bringing people together and celebrating shared values.  Every bottle reflects our belief that good wine should nourish community, our palates, and the planet.

That’s why we farm to restore soil health, capture carbon, and encourage biodiversity, all while being transparent about what goes into our wines (and what doesn’t). We keep our winemaking simple so the fruit, and the intention, shines through.
